During the day, parents get very tired at work, so at night they do not mind getting a good night's sleep before a new difficult day. However, a child can sometimes interfere with these plans - he cannot sleep, which means that adults cannot sleep either. If such a problem arises, it must be addressed as soon as possible, because lack of sleep can adversely affect the health of the child.

Instructions

Step 1

Determine why the child does not want to sleep. Perhaps he simply cannot sleep. There can be a variety of reasons for this. The main one is that the child goes to bed in a restless, agitated state. This happens if, before bedtime, the child plays outdoor games, is too active, watches a lot of TV. If this is the case, minimize your child's activity in the evenings. Do not let him run and jump, let him do something calm - read, draw, listen to a fairy tale. All active activities need to be postponed to an earlier time - if during the day the baby runs up, jumps and plays enough, then, most likely, he will sleep like a dead man.

Step 2

Monitor your baby's nutrition. Do not overfeed him before bed. Dinner should be at least four hours before bedtime and should not be too heavy. If the kid asks for food, and it's too late, let him drink a glass of kefir or nibble on an apple. A full stomach is not conducive to falling asleep quickly.

Step 3

If the child does not want to fall asleep, because he is afraid of the dark and loneliness, help him fight his fears. There is nothing wrong with leaving the night light on, for example, the child will not be so scared, he will not be disturbed by monsters. If the child is afraid of some terrible creature that can crawl out of the darkness, then a ritual of exorcism of this creature can be arranged. Convince the child that his monster is gone and will not come back, and he will sleep much more peacefully. At first, you can stay in the room with the child until he falls asleep, and then he learns to fall asleep on his own without any fear. You can give your child some kind of soft toy with you to bed, which will be his "protector" from everything bad.

Step 4

Consult your doctor if your child is not afraid of the dark, does not play outdoor games before bed, and you follow all the recommendations. Perhaps there are some disorders in the body.
