They become thieves for various reasons. But in all cases, a person has a choice - to commit theft or to earn the necessary funds. However, the choice does not always fall on the fair way.

Bad example

If a person grows up in a thieves' environment, then there is a high probability that he will also become a thief. The activities of parents and close people become a personal example for the child. He perceives it as the norm of life. As a result, theft does not become a violation of the law for such a person.

Even with an intelligent family and honest parents, a child can fall under the bad influence of friends and acquaintances. Children of adolescence are especially susceptible to this. Going to steal, a teenager tries to be the same as everyone else. In order not to become an outcast in the company, he will commit a crime. In this case, the child can steal money from his own parents.

For the perfect "adult" act, the teenager receives approval and recognition from friends. This becomes more important to him than an honest lifestyle.

A bad example for a person can be negative movie characters or characters in crime novels. Having made them idols for himself, a person takes their actions as a basis, trying to become similar to the chosen ideals.

Life circumstances

One of the reasons that a person has become a thief is life laziness. If the child does not strive for some goal, he just goes with the flow. Subsequently, such a person does not know how to earn a living, and he does not want to find out. It becomes easier for him to steal than to make money.

Pedagogical neglect can lead to theft. If parents do not devote time to raising their child, do not deal with him, he feels their indifference to his fate. Through illegal behavior, he tries to attract their attention.

Children in dysfunctional families, with their antisocial behavior, seem to tell their parents and others that they have become the way they wanted to see them.

A person who has once stolen and served time in prison for this cannot always adapt to a normal life. After leaving prison, he needs to find a job. If a person cannot find a job, then he will again go for theft, finding in this a way out of the current situation.

Disadapted people become recidivist thieves. They don't know what to do in freedom, they don't know how to live. After spending some time outside the walls of the prison, the thief deliberately goes to the crime to be imprisoned again. This is how they adapt to life. In prison, they don't have to worry about their livelihood. There they are provided with food, a roof, and, possibly, work.
