Going to steal, a teenager tries to be the same as everyone else. In order not to become an outcast in the company, he will commit a crime. In this case, the child can steal money from his own parents.
For the perfect "adult" act, the teenager receives approval and recognition from friends. This becomes more important to him than an honest lifestyle.
A bad example for a person can be negative movie characters or characters in crime novels. Having made them idols for himself, a person takes their actions as a basis, trying to become similar to the chosen ideals.
Life circumstances
One of the reasons that a person has become a thief is life laziness. If the child does not strive for some goal, he just goes with the flow. Subsequently, such a person does not know how to earn a living, and he does not want to find out. It becomes easier for him to steal than to make money.
Pedagogical neglect can lead to theft. If parents do not devote time to raising their child, do not deal with him, he feels their indifference to his fate. Through illegal behavior, he tries to attract their attention.
Children in dysfunctional families, with their antisocial behavior, seem to tell their parents and others that they have become the way they wanted to see them.
A person who has once stolen and served time in prison for this cannot always adapt to a normal life. After leaving prison, he needs to find a job. If a person cannot find a job, then he will again go for theft, finding in this a way out of the current situation.
Disadapted people become recidivist thieves. They don't know what to do in freedom, they don't know how to live. After spending some time outside the walls of the prison, the thief deliberately goes to the crime to be imprisoned again. This is how they adapt to life.
