Step 1
You can start putting your baby on your stomach from 3-5 weeks. This is best done on a hard surface such as a sofa or table. This will make it easier for him to hold his head. The baby's arms, bent at the elbows, should be under his chest, and the hips should be unfolded.
Step 2
First, put the crumb for 5-10 minutes once a day, gradually increasing the period of time to half an hour. At the same time, monitor his condition: if for months you can turn the baby over twice a day: in the morning and in the evening.
Step 3
Place your baby on his stomach before feeding, while doing gymnastics or swaddling. After eating, such procedures should not be done, since it will be very difficult for the child to digest food.
Step 4
During the first overturns, the child may be capricious. Do not immediately follow his lead, try to just distract him with something. For example, place it on a brightly-colored play mat with sewn-on details that you can buy at any baby store. Or place rattles next to the crumbs, or you can even put a mirror in front of it, because children are interested in looking at themselves. It is also very important that the child, being in this position, sees his mother, so it is better to always stand in front of him.
Step 5
At the age of six months, you can safely spread a large blanket on the floor, lay out toys on it and leave the child on his stomach until he gets tired. The main thing is to remove all dangerous objects around him.
Step 6
While lying on your stomach, do not leave your baby alone in the room and remove excess pillows and soft toys into which he may burrow his face.
Step 7
Thanks to the timely turning on the stomach, the child will learn to hold the head earlier, develop the motor functions of the body and train the muscles of the trunk, which will have a beneficial effect on his general physical condition.
