The life of an orphanage child cannot be called easy. Even if the director is a golden man, and the authorities keep this institution in perfect condition and provide its pupils with everything they need. Children from an ordinary orphanage, of which there are still many in Russia, are deprived of very important things. Can outsiders, but sincerely willing to help, provide what they lack?
Instructions
Step 1
Some orphanages are poorly provided for financially. And this is the most accessible type of help that strangers can provide. Find out what the kids need. The fact is that any orphanage is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education, and it has the same forms of financial reporting as in any other children's institution. If the director sees that someone needs panties or socks, but the budget money for this has already been selected, he cannot do anything. Unless he buys the necessary thing from his own funds or asks for charitable assistance. Find out if the nearest orphanage needs something similar. You can negotiate with other residents of the neighborhood and chip in. It is very possible that some of the local entrepreneurs will want to provide such assistance.
Step 2
Material problems are not so significant compared to the lack of socialization. Children simply have nowhere to learn even the most basic skills of life in society. And your help can be very effective. Check with the director about what ordinary household chores are available to his orphan's peer, and what is strictly prohibited in the child care institution.
Step 3
Gather a group of like-minded people. Practice shows that women are more willing to do such things. You can create something like a "family club" in which adults would teach children basic housekeeping skills. Start, for example, with a holiday device. Teach those willing to cook some dishes, even the simplest ones. Show how to set the table. Create a fun scenario with a few of your most active children.
Step 4
Under Russian law, a graduate of an orphanage receives housing. But often he doesn't know what to do with the apartment. He does not know how to keep her in order, nor pay utility bills. Show older children where and how this is done. Take them with you to the bank, tell us why you need it and what will happen if you do not make payments on time. This knowledge will save them from big trouble in the future.
Step 5
Orphanage children desperately need an environment in which universal human values exist. Statistics show that the overwhelming majority of orphanages in Russia are filled with children whose parents are deprived of parental rights. They never had a normal social circle. But it can appear if you often come to your wards and just talk with them on different topics.
Step 6
Volunteers and guys from youth movements can help you. Children in orphanages should be involved in various social activities. They must see that the world is big and interesting, there are many good people in it and there is always something to do.
Step 7
If you really want children in orphanages to grow up to be good people, let them know that every person has not only rights, but also responsibilities. Children usually know a lot about their rights. With responsibilities, the situation is much more complicated. In an ordinary orphanage, the range of responsibilities of the pupils is very limited in comparison with their home peers. It's very good if you can invite one of the guys to your place. They can see with their own eyes how your household responsibilities are distributed. Maybe they want to take part in some business.
