Step 1
If you are planning to take a child from an orphanage into a family on a permanent basis according to one of the forms of family placement (adoption, guardianship, foster family), the guest regimen can be a good opportunity for you and your child to shorten the adaptation period. At the same time, you do not have to collect additional certificates and documents. If the guardianship and trusteeship authorities have issued a positive conclusion, you have the right to take the child you like home for a few days in agreement with the director of the orphanage.
Step 2
It is allowed to take children into the family for weekends or vacations at least 7-8 years old in order to avoid strong emotional upheavals in the child. Until this age, children cannot yet adequately respond to the fact that in a few days they will have to come back again. They are very attached to adults and may call you mom on the very first day. Children from 10 years of age are asked for their consent to temporary residence in a family. You cannot take a child for more than one month. If you are planning to take a vacation with your child and move to another city or country, you will need permission from the guardianship and guardianship authorities.
Step 3
If you just want to take the child for the weekend for now, collect and submit the necessary certificates and documents to the guardianship authorities. If you receive a positive opinion, you can take your children to visit during the year. If you know the director of the orphanage well, because you are a volunteer, the child can be released with you for a couple of days at your written request. You pay for the child's stay in the family yourself. Expenses for food, travel and entertainment are not funded by the state for both foster care and foster families.
