It's great if you decide to have a baby, but before you do, set aside a few months for yourself to get ready for pregnancy and have a beautiful and healthy baby.
Instructions
Step 1
Take folic acid. Even if you are absolutely sure that your diet is balanced, your body will still not be getting enough of some important nutrients. Start taking folic acid 400 micrograms at least one month before conception to minimize your risk of having a retarded baby. At the same time, if you take vitamin complexes, make sure that there is no overdose.
Step 2
Give up parties and bad habits. If you drink or smoke, it's time to get rid of it all. Studies have shown that women who smoke and drink have a much higher rate of miscarriage and premature birth than women without bad habits. It is also recommended to get rid of the party. The whole problem is that usually at all sorts of parties, smoke is high, which creates even more harmful secondhand smoke.
Step 3
Less caffeine. Caffeine strongly interferes with the absorption of iron by the body. Iron in the body is known to be especially important during pregnancy, so if you cannot live without coffee, drink a maximum of one cup of milk a day.
Step 4
Weight check. Before conceiving a child, check your weight and determine if it is normal for age and height. If you are overweight or underweight, you cannot avoid problems when conceiving and carrying a child.
Step 5
Healthy food. This does not mean that you already need to start eating for two or only eat what is healthy, but include at least 200 daily grams of fruits and vegetables in your diet. It is also important to eat foods high in calcium (yoghurt, milk, cottage cheese) and cereals.
Step 6
Sport. In order not only to conceive a child and carry him out, but also after his birth not to have problems with the figure and stretch marks, even before conception, engage in simple exercises (press, general strengthening exercises, muscle stretching).
Step 7
Visit your dentist. Before conceiving, check the condition of your teeth and treat them, as any infections in the mouth caused by unhealthy or unhealed teeth can provoke the birth of a low birth weight baby and the birth of a premature baby.
