Step 1
Learn the principles of successful adolescents around the world. Find out what exactly made them popular in their class. Just do not limit yourself to one or two examples, at least you should study the examples of two dozen teenagers. After that, you should identify the general pattern that led them to success.

Maintain a good reputation to make a positive impression on those around you. Just don't think exclusively about yourself. As much as you treat others well, they will treat you as well. You don't have to be self-centered.

Take an interest in the affairs of others. You need not so much to get their attention as to keep it. For this, classmates should be interested. You don't have to dress with fashion designers to be popular. Wear what you see fit, what you feel comfortable in. But don't look like you just wallowed in the mud. Whatever style your clothes are, they should be clean and tidy. In addition, clothing should be appropriate for the occasion. It is clear that you are comfortable in jeans and a T-shirt, but at a party such an outfit will clearly not be appropriate, just as winter boots will not be appropriate at a summer picnic.

Be friendly to people you know. Smile, say hello, be interested in business. Make it a habit to talk with both people you know and with strangers, because it will take no more than a few minutes.

Be sociable. It is uncomfortable for an unpopular person to do what popular people usually do: talk to strangers, joke, flirt, attract attention. Popularity cannot be achieved without people's attention, so you have to step out of your comfort zone. Your attempts may not look very successful at first, but don't despair.

Think about how others perceive you. If you feel you need to tweak your appearance a bit to be more visible, do so. A new haircut or different clothes can help in changing your appearance. Hygiene should not be neglected. Even the shortest hair, if it has not been washed for a week, is noticeable from a distance and repels others from its wearer.
