Jealousy is a feeling that can shake and destroy even the strongest friendships. As a rule, it does not arise spontaneously, but when friends give reason for jealousy, showing attention to another person, showing sympathy for him.
Instructions
Step 1
Try not to think about how your friend is spending time with someone. Find yourself an interesting activity that will bring positive emotions, will allow you to distract from negative thoughts. Communicate more with your friends, acquaintances, colleagues, try to find at least a temporary replacement for your friendship.
Step 2
Make a list of the positive and negative aspects of your friendship. Evaluate if it brings more positive emotions than negative ones. Perhaps you are making the relationship with your friend too serious, demanding more attention from her than she can give you. Decide for yourself if she really is the person you are willing to trust.
Step 3
Try to connect with those you are jealous of your friend for. If this is another friend or a group of friends, perhaps you will enjoy communicating with everyone together, and then there will be fewer reasons for jealousy, because the friend will spend time with you and with friends at the same time. If the feeling of jealousy does not leave you in the company, try not to intersect with your friend in those moments when she spends time with a boyfriend or friends. The less often you see each other under such circumstances, the less your jealousy will be.
Step 4
Put yourself in your friend's shoes and take a look at the situation from her side. Perhaps your jealousy is frustrating for her and prevents her from building a good relationship with a young man or husband. Remember that everyone has the right to privacy, a privacy that should not be meddled in unless asked to do so.
Step 5
Assess how your relationship will develop in the future. You may have to change your place of residence, study or work, and separation from your friend will be inevitable. In a new environment, you are more likely to make new friends and remember that jealousy was useless, took away energy, and in the end did not lead to anything.
