A healthy and happy family is not just a unit of society. She makes an invaluable contribution to the development of a new generation, society and culture. The family is not just important, it is necessary for each person individually, regardless of his social status and wealth. But it is worth taking a closer look at what such a social category as a family is.

First, you need to look at the family from a sociological point of view. It is a small social group in which each of its members is connected with each other through family and love relationships. It stands out for its community of everyday life and connections, which is assigned to its members for a long period of time.

The family is one of the most important social institutions of any society. This is due to the fact that it has such functions as reproductive, educational, economic, adaptive, recreational, as well as a number of others.

The reproductive function of the family is manifested in the birth of children. The birth of a child means not only great happiness for the parents of the newborn, but also for the state and society as a whole. A new member has appeared, which over time will acquire the rights and obligations assigned to him by law, and will also be able to make a feasible contribution to the development of society as a whole.

The upbringing function is associated with the fact that children in a family acquire the very first social experience, communicating with their parents, assimilating various norms and values from them, and also laying in themselves patterns of behavior, character, and mental abilities.

The economic function of the family is associated with the formation of the family budget and the distribution of funds from it for food, utility bills, education, the acquisition of property, as well as a number of other things the family needs. The family largely shapes the economic demand for goods and services. Taxes, dues, duties are paid, and from them the state budget is largely formed, part of which goes to social support of the population.

The adaptive function is directly related to the educational one. The adaptation of new members of society to the environment is impossible without the guidance of older relatives and parents. It is then that the child develops an understanding of what is good and what is bad.

Recreation within the family circle is due to the fact that a person can rest, relax, share his problems and experiences with family members and receive moral and physical support from them.

The importance of the family cannot be overstated. Family relationships are the key to stability, tranquility, confidence in the future for its members. People whose relationships are much stronger than simple friendship are confident in each other, because if something goes wrong in life, there will be no questions about who to turn to for help.
