Instructions

Step 1

Each woman has an individual menstrual cycle. But for all three periods are characteristic. The first is the maturation of the follicles (14-16 days after the first day of menstruation). These days, estrogens are activated - female sex hormones, which contribute to the maturation of the egg in the ovary.

Step 2

The next stage is ovulation (14-16 days from the 1st day of menstruation). The follicle ruptures and the egg is released from the ovary. Then it enters the abdominal cavity, and from there into the fallopian tube.

Step 3

The third period is called progesterone (from 15-17 to 28 days of the cycle). After the follicle has burst, a corpus luteum appears in its place, producing estrogens and progesterone (it prepares the uterine lining for the embryo's introduction and prevents other follicles from developing that can interfere with the successful development of pregnancy). If conception does not occur, the corpus luteum ceases to function, the level of sex hormones drops and menstruation begins.

Step 4

Make a special calculation for safe sex. Analyze the length of your own menstrual cycle for at least six months. Do not use hormonal contraceptives during this period.

Step 5

Highlight the longest and shortest menstrual cycles in the analyzed period. Subtract 18 from the shortest and get the day of the beginning of the dangerous period (for example, 24-18 = 6). Subtract 11. from the longest period (eg 30-11 = 19). As a result, you will learn that dangerous days in your case are the period of the menstrual cycle from 6 to 19 days.

Step 6

Please note that such a calculation is only suitable for those women whose menstrual cycle is stable and does not often change in duration. If your period is different every month, be sure to check with your gynecologist. You have to do some tests. Without them, the exact calculation will be unreliable and unreliable.
