Traditional learning to read begins with the study of letters. But many children cannot remember these incomprehensible symbols in any way. To achieve a result, it is better to conduct classes in the form of a game.
Instructions
Step 1
Cut a few large letters out of colored cardboard. It is better if these are vowels or letters related to the child himself and his loved ones. Usually, the baby easily remembers the letters with which his name and the names of his relatives begin. Do not try to immediately cover the names of all the numerous relatives, for a start it is better to stop at 3-5 letters. You can hang these letters in a prominent place and periodically call them to your child. Or you can make a photo album in which there will be a photograph of a relative, and next to it - "his" letter. Together with the baby, look at photos of loved ones, pronounce their names and pay attention to the colored "symbols" located next to the picture. When the child learns 3-5 letters, the photo album can be replenished with new photos and bright letters.
Step 2
Sculpt letters from plasticine or salt dough. This lesson allows you not only to spend time with interest, but also perfectly develops the child's fine motor skills.
Step 3
To help your child quickly learn the alphabet, you can play the following game with him. Depict this or that letter with your own body, for example, stand up straight and spread your arms to the sides. This figure will resemble the letter T. The child must guess it and repeat after you. Then you can switch roles.
Step 4
Use counting sticks, wire, rope, or thread to make letters. Invite your child to finish writing broken letters on paper, i.e. those in which one or another element is not drawn.
Step 5
Create your own letter learning games as well. And remember, a child retains information better when multiple types of memory are involved. Therefore, classes should be in motion, using visual materials and sound.
