Remembering the alphabet for a small child is quite a difficult task, because at the same time it is necessary to use the mind, hearing and sight. Therefore, adults should help the baby to hear sounds in words, see them in a book, and then learn to write.
Instructions
Step 1
Buy an alphabet for your kid with funny rhymes and bright large pictures depicting animals and objects for each letter of the alphabet. Read a rhyme to the kid on the letter being studied, highlighting the letter of interest in intonation. Then pronounce this letter and the object whose name begins with this letter several times. To make it easier for the child to learn to read in the future, pronounce the sound, not the letter itself, that is, "B", not "Be". Instead of a book, you can use cardboard cards or electronic alphabet.
Step 2
Create educational alphabet games for your toddler. For example, have a child draw a letter using body language. Or ask your kid to find objects from his environment for each letter of the alphabet. Play with him in words, when the player must say the word on the last letter of the previously named word.
Step 3
Invite your kid to sculpt a letter out of plasticine. In addition to memorizing this letter, during sculpting, the child develops fine motor skills, which contributes to the formation of speech. Lay out letters from leaves, sticks, blades of grass with your baby during a walk, sculpt words from snow. With the memorization of the alphabet, the kid develops a fantasy. Cut a few letters out of colored cardboard and hang them in the nursery. Have your toddler name the sound and point his finger at the letter on the wall.
Step 4
Buy educational toys for your baby. For example, cubes with letters and syllables that can be shaken or thrown to hear the sound of the letter depicted. Together with your baby, bake a delicious alphabet made of dough, which you can then eat over tea.
Step 5
Do not overload or force the child to study seriously. In one lesson with the baby, it is enough to learn one letter. Read books to your child as often as possible, try to captivate the child and instill in him a love for books, reading and learning.
