Work is often perceived as the only source of income. But sometimes the thought may arise: is it possible not to work and live with dignity? If you look, this is possible, and there are several options for earning income without a job in the generally accepted sense of the word.

Living off someone is the first thing that comes to mind. If there are people in your environment who are ready to provide for you, then you don't need to work. However, this dependence has a number of significant limitations. First, your needs will be met as much as the "sponsor" sees fit. Secondly, if the person providing you suddenly loses the ability or desire to do this, your carefree existence will also cease. And thirdly, as a rule, the one who pays for your whims and needs may consider himself entitled to expect from you the fulfillment of a number of conditions, compliance with various kinds of restrictions, etc. Sometimes such a life "for free" becomes unbearable from a moral point of view.
Step 2
You can live without working if you have a disability - in this case, you will receive a pension. But, sadly enough, the size of disability pensions is quite modest, and, as a rule, people with a disability group either receive financial support from relatives or a spouse, or are looking for an opportunity to increase their income.

If you have a free apartment (or even better - several) or other real estate object, you can live by renting it out and getting money for it. If there are several apartments, the payment for their rent may well amount to an amount sufficient for a decent existence. If there is only one apartment, you can try to increase income by providing it to people not for a long time, but daily. That is, in fact, turning it into a kind of hotel. True, in this case, you will have to put the housing in order after each guest, timely change and repair household appliances, update the interior, carry out other work on the improvement of the premises, and this is also a kind of work.

If you have a fairly impressive amount, you can, of course, ensure yourself a comfortable existence for a while until the money is spent. And you can try to live on interest from these funds, it is only important to invest them successfully. A bank deposit is far from the best option: the interest on it is unlikely to be more than 12%, and it will be extremely unprofitable for you to withdraw your money before the term stipulated by the contract. An alternative to a bank deposit would be investing money in a mutual fund (mutual investment fund) or trust management (trust management). True, in this case, you cannot count on a guaranteed income, but you can urgently withdraw funds.

You can try to play on the stock exchange. However, it is also a big risk and a dubious source of stable income. You are not immune to the element of randomness, and the state of the market will not always be successful for your chosen trading strategy. There are cases when people who tried to gamble on the stock exchange lost quite substantial sums without gaining anything as a result.

There is a category of people who live by participating in various kinds of contests and lotteries. Indeed, in this way you can win money, and things received as a prize can be used or sold. If you choose such a life, it is guaranteed to be interesting and full of surprises, but you will hardly wait for peace and stability: it is impossible to predict whether fortune will turn its face to you at the next draw, and to track all kinds of lotteries and contests, fulfill various conditions and creative tasks take a lot of time and effort.

It is possible not to work in the generally accepted sense of the word, combining business with pleasure. In other words, if you have any hobby, then if you wish, it is quite possible to turn it into a source of income. Of course, you still have to work, but it will not be a dull "serving time" in the service, but an occupation that brings you pleasure.
Step 8
You can cut your own needs to a minimum, move to the countryside and live, practically leading a subsistence economy: switch to stove heating, stop using electricity, have a vegetable garden, pets and live using the fruits of your labor. You can try to sell the surplus in order to buy the necessary things that you yourself cannot create or receive without investment. But, of course, such a life cannot be called easy and carefree. You will most likely have to work even more than during your life in the city. The plus is that you will clearly see the results of your efforts and, if you wish, you can try to give up some of your needs in order to thereby make your life easier.
Step 9
And, finally, you can engage in spiritual practices and reach such a high level in this field that you stop needing food. So, the pranoids claim that they are able to feed exclusively on solar energy, and at the same time feel great.
