The study of the seasons is a child's acquaintance with the cyclical nature of time, its continuity and repetition in events and phenomena. Memorization occurs gradually, but the child especially remembers the vivid impressions of the seasonal holidays, the pleasure of winter and summer games. In kindergartens, the construction of the entire educational program often depends on the planning of seasonal holidays.

Step 1
Plan your holidays to reflect the changing seasons. These holidays are held during the periods of the most striking manifestation of all seasonal phenomena. For example, the autumn festival is held at the end of September, when the leaves on the trees turn yellow and red; when the weather gets rainy and fruits and vegetables are harvested. The winter holiday is held in the New Year, the spring one - when the snow melts, and the summer one - with the appearance of grass, flowers, insects.
Step 2
Plan public holidays as well. It is on them that children are most actively introduced to the games that correspond to the season. In the process of celebrating Maslenitsa, children say goodbye to winter and for the last time ride from the melted mountains, play snowballs in the ice fortress. In June, at the festival of birch trees, children lead round dances, play catch-up, weave wreaths of flowers.
Step 3
Introduce children at the beginning of each month not only with its name (modern and folk), but also with the main signs that develop memory and observation in children. For example, December used to be called “cold” because “The earth is cold for the whole winter”, and October is “muddy”, because all people “Know autumn in October by the mud”.
Step 4
Draw the attention of children to the bright weather: thunderstorms occur in late spring and summer, and snow falls in winter. Ask the children to draw what they remember the most over the past summer. Their drawing should remind children of summer even in winter. Specify by what sign it will be possible to find out later.
Step 5
Learn with the children the most popular sentences and calls that reflect the weather phenomena in the corresponding period: "Rain, rain, more!..", "The sun is shining through the window." Repeat them so often that they become familiar and easy to remember.

Collect a collection of puzzles about the seasons and months. The younger the child, the more figuratively and accurately the signs of the appearance of the object that must be guessed should be presented in the riddle: “Long, smooth, orange, sweet. Bunnies eat and they tell us. " You can specify the time of year when carrots grow in the beds. Older children can already guess figurative riddles: “The tablecloth is white all over the earth” (snow). Rhymes with a rhymed answer are also popular among children: "Light fluffs, white ones fall from the sky in winter and circle above the ground … (snowflakes)"
Step 7
Conduct a wrap-up session at the end of the month or at the end of the season. Remember with the children and consolidate all the signs of this time of year, the signs that you remember, the verses that you learned in the classroom. Make generalizing riddles: "The snow is melting, the meadow has come to life, the day arrives, when does it happen?" (in the spring). Design an album in which together with the children, collect illustrations of nature, holidays, children's games in accordance with the season.
