Step 1
Find out the requirements that the camp has for children. Your son or daughter must be between ten and sixteen years old. However, during the summer shifts, 9-year-olds are also accepted at Artek.
Step 2
See the pediatrician who will give your child a medical examination. The attending physician must fill out a special medical card, a copy of which can be downloaded from the Artek website. At the same time, there are medical diagnoses with which the child will not be able to get a ticket to the camp. These include: tuberculosis, epilepsy, diabetes mellitus. Children with problems with the heart, kidneys and blood vessels can be sent to the camp only with the approval of the attending physician, if the disease is not in an acute form.
Step 3
Choose the time of arrival and shift convenient for you and your child. The camp has a distinctive feature - each shift has its own theme. For example, from June 21 to July 11, 2012, the camp will host the Twentieth Artek International Film Festival. You can focus not only on the subject of arrival, but also on the cost of living. It depends both on the season and on which camp, which is part of "Artek", you choose.
Step 4
Purchase a voucher. To do this, you can contact one of the travel agencies that provide such services, or leave a request directly on the camp website https://www.artek.org/. After its consideration, you will be contacted regarding the payment of the voucher.
Step 5
Prepare your child for the trip. Your son or daughter will need a notarized copy of the birth certificate. If the child is already 14 years old, make a copy of the passport and also have it certified by a notary. Pack your clothes for the season. In a suitcase or backpack, there must be two pairs of shoes, three pairs of socks, a sports uniform and bathing clothes. In the memo for visitors, it is recommended that you bring your child with you shoes with anti-slip soles.
