Adopting a child to a family is a very serious decision that must be well thought out and weighed. It is simply unacceptable to succumb to an emotional impulse here. After all, every adopted baby is a person with his own difficult past, advantages and disadvantages.

Step 1
When deciding to adopt a child or formalize guardianship, please note that you will need to collect and submit a package of documents to the guardianship and guardianship authorities. It includes: a statement; autobiography; a copy of the income statement or a certificate from the employer indicating the salary and position; a copy of the marriage certificate (if you are a member); a certificate of no criminal record; a document confirming your ownership of the apartment, dwelling; an extract from the house book (a copy of the personal account). You will also need a written consent for the admission of a child of adult family members, taking into account the opinions of children living with you who have reached the age of 10. The living conditions in which the child will live must be examined and an appropriate act drawn up. You also need to undergo a medical examination. You cannot become a foster parent if you have certain medical conditions. All information about restrictions on the path of adoption is contained in the Family Code of the Russian Federation.
Step 2
Within fifteen days from the date of submission of the application and the full package of documents, the guardianship and trusteeship authorities will make a decision on adoption or guardianship. Please note that after adoption, the state does not provide any assistance to parents. Upon registration of guardianship, an allowance will be paid monthly for the maintenance of the child. Its size is set in each region. You will also be assisted in organizing recreation, education and treatment of the child. The guardianship and guardianship authorities are regularly obliged to monitor the conditions for the upbringing, education and maintenance of the baby.
Step 3
Please note that a child ten years of age or older can only be adopted with his or her consent. In this case, the final decision is made by the court. A medical certificate must be drawn up for the adoptee. All diseases will be indicated in it, recommendations for their further treatment and maintenance of the baby will be given.
