After the release of disposable diapers, the life of young parents has become much easier. The number of dirty rompers and diapers has decreased, and there is more time for communication with the baby. However, it is widely believed that diapers are very harmful for boys. Is it so?
The benefits of diapers
Everyone knows about the benefits of diapers. In addition to the absence of the need for diapers, which must be constantly washed, diapers allow you to safely walk with your baby on the street, without worrying that due to the overalls soaked in the cold season, he will catch a cold.
Myths about the dangers of diapers
The skin does not breathe. Some people believe that diapers prevent baby's skin from breathing. In fact, this is not the case. Modern manufacturers of quality goods, first of all, emphasize that their diapers are designed so that air penetrates to the baby's skin. A good diaper should always have a special membrane permeated with millions of microscopic pores that allow air to pass through. These pores also drain the fumes from the stool and make the inside of the diaper drier.
In diapers, the legs become crooked. Many have probably heard that diapers can bend the legs. Believe it or not, as these rumors are mere inventions spread by diaper adherents.
Diapers lead to impotence and infertility. This myth says that the constant presence of a boy in diapers interferes with his fertility. Studies have been conducted on adult men, during which it was proved that a significant increase in scrotal temperature leads to a decrease in sperm activity. At the same time, there are several facts that prove that diapers do not affect this.
How to use diapers correctly
It can be concluded that diapers do not harm babies at all, but provided that the parents adhere to a few simple rules:
- diapers must correspond to the weight and sex of the child;
- you need to buy them only in specialized stores or pharmacies;
- immediately check the expiration date and the integrity of the packaging;
- changing the diaper must be done at least after 3-4 hours;
- after removing the diaper, the baby's skin should be washed, wiped and spread with cream or powder;
- during the day, the child must walk for several hours without a diaper;
- if the baby's temperature rises above 38 ° C, the diaper must be removed.
If you have purchased a new brand of diapers, check your baby's reaction to them before using. And do not abuse this type of product, so that later there will be no problems with potty training. Follow all the rules and your child's childhood will be absolutely happy.
