The signing of the marriage contract takes place in the presence of both spouses, it is certified by a lawyer or notary. The document ceases to be valid from the moment of dissolution of the marriage, but only in that part of it that concerns matrimony.
Pros of concluding a marriage contract
The document regulates the relationship between spouses in a difficult period of breaking up, and in order for the process to take place with less pain, a contract is required. Imprisoned in a period of good relations, he allows parting with the least loss and guarantees to each spouse the observance of his rights. And such situations, as one of the parties took out and hid all the property, cannot exist in principle. You will not have to go through the humiliating judicial procedure for dividing the jointly acquired property.
But it should be borne in mind that in the Russian Federation, the conclusion of a marriage contract is not mandatory, and is not used as often as in Western countries. When two loving people decide that all their property will be in common, there is no need to conclude a marriage contract. And one more nuance: no paper, even with a hundred seals, will automatically give good relations, love and harmony. You still have to build relationships.
