Russian folk tales, even the most seemingly simple ones, are full of worldly wisdom and can become a real lifesaver in difficult life situations. They will tell you how to behave in joy and sorrow, in wealth and poverty, how to recognize deception and get out of the water. And the Russian folk tale "Turnip" will teach you how to achieve your goal.

Despite its simplicity, "Turnip" is a very multifaceted fairy tale that teaches how to achieve the desired result.

"Turnip" teaches not to be afraid of large and difficult tasks, if the result is worth it.

"Grandfather planted a turnip." Not the turnip itself grew, but the grandfather planted it, i.e. he wanted to grow it, made an effort: he thought about his daily bread, found a seed, put it in the ground, looked after it, watered it, weed out the weeds - he worked, in a word, and got the appropriate harvest: "A big, big turnip has grown." he had a task - to pull the turnip out of the ground. And since the turnip is too big, it is not an easy task for the grandfather. But he still tackles it, does not give up - the harvest is very good! - and "grandfather began to pull a turnip from the ground."

"Turnip" teaches you to correctly assess your strength.

"(Grandfather) pulls, pulls, cannot pull." Grandfather tried to pull, tried more than once - it does not work, he understands that one cannot cope, and calls for help.

"Turnip" teaches to ask for help when you cannot cope on your own.

This is a very important quality that allows you to work in a team. “Grandfather called grandmother,” and when the two of them did not succeed, they also called the granddaughter, and the bug, and the cat, and the mouse - until they did not cope with the task. And they all worked together, harmoniously, and therefore coped with the task.

This is the direct meaning of the tale. And if you look at it a little from the other side, then you can see.

"Turnip" is, of course, our goal, our excellent result, which we so want to achieve. But it doesn't work the first time. Here it is necessary to explain to the child that what he wants to achieve is a big, big turnip, and he will pull it.

The grandfather in the tale is the largest and strongest, he pulls the turnip first. This is the first effort to achieve a goal. It is the biggest and most difficult one. But despite all the efforts, it does not work to achieve the goal the first time, like grandfather did.

But this is not a reason to give up. What did grandfather do? I called my grandmother. What should be done when it didn't work out the first time? Try again. At the same time, the effort will already be less, it will become easier to pull the turnip than the first time, because the first effort has already moved the matter off dead center, and it is easier to go further.

Grandfather and grandmother coped with the task, pulled out a turnip? No, and when it did not work out together, they called the granddaughter, and she called the Beetle, and the Beetle - the cat, and the cat - the mouse. None of them gave up, each continued to achieve the goal, and each next assistant turned out to be smaller and weaker than the previous one. Likewise, our efforts to achieve the goal each time are less and less than the previous ones, because we already have experience that brings us closer to the desired result. Only in life we do not know exactly when that very mouse will come running, which will help to complete the work begun.

Thus, the example of the Russian folk tale clearly shows that to achieve a great goal, repeated efforts are needed, and each new effort will be easier than the previous ones.

To better assimilate this motivational formula, walk this path together with your child, explaining each step:

  1. Now you make the first effort, it is the most difficult and difficult, and the next time you try it, it will be easier.
  2. Look, today it’s easier for you than yesterday, and tomorrow it will be even easier.
  3. When the goal is achieved, it will be possible to look back and see how many steps to success have been taken, to remember once again that the first step was the most difficult and the last one was the easiest.
  4. And there must be a moment of joy from the achieved result - "They pulled the turnip!". This step is very important for consolidating motivation to achieve subsequent goals, it is the emotional coloring that is important. Be sure to praise your child, express your joy for him brightly and emotionally, share this feeling of victory with him, and he will gladly run to new heights.

And so that there are fewer steps on the way to the next success, set realistic, achievable, but interesting and relevant goals, and the result will not be long in coming.
