Some parents initially have a negative attitude towards hardening of children, confusing this concept with winter swimming. The hardening process does not involve bathing in ice springs or rubbing off with snow. First of all, it is necessary for the formation of strong immunity in a child, and this effect is achieved in completely different ways.
Instructions
Step 1
The child's weak immunity is primarily due to the tendency to frequent colds. If a baby, for example, catches a cold several times a year, then this can be considered an alarming signal. In this case, we do not mean fever and runny nose from teething or reactions to vaccinations. We are talking about ARI and ARVI.
Step 2
It is necessary to start hardening with a minimum amount of cold water. Soak your hands in cool liquid and lightly wipe the baby's feet. This procedure must be carried out several times a week. Bathing a child in cold water or immediately arranging morning douches is not worth it. By such actions, you can harm the child's body.
Step 3
Gradually increase the duration of the procedure and the amount of cold water. Please note that the liquid should not be ice cold, but cool. The best option is to put enough cold water in a basin and leave it at room temperature for at least 12-15 hours.
Step 4
Only after 10-14 days from the beginning of wiping the child's legs with cold water, you can start partial dousing. In this case, the water should only come into contact with the baby's feet. For example, put your baby in a bathtub and quickly douse the area up to the knees with room temperature water. This procedure should also be carried out for at least a week. If during this period the child falls ill, hardening should be postponed for a more favorable period.
Step 5
In a similar way, the area of pouring is increased to the waist, then to the chest and to the shoulders of the child. In total, the process of accustoming to hardening takes several months. If you regularly carry out such procedures, the child's body will largely get stronger and the child will be less prone to colds.
