If your baby has spat out the pacifier, for example, onto a blanket, you should not immediately shove it back into your baby's mouth. There are a lot of bacteria on the dummy already. And in doing so, you will only increase the risk of contracting stomatitis. The dummy must be sterilized.

Step 1
Experienced mothers know how to properly sterilize pacifiers. This process has not changed for many years and does not take much time. First of all, remember the most important rule: you must have multiple nipples. Store them only in clean containers.
Step 2
Boiling is the easiest way to sterilize. Pour some water into a small, clean saucepan. Wait for it to boil and submerge the pacifiers in water for a few minutes. After taking them out of the water, place them on a washed plate and wait until they dry completely.
Step 3
If you don't have the time or inclination to boil the teats, choose an alternative: boil water in a container and hold the pacifier over the steam. A few seconds will be enough for sterilization. True, such a procedure does not guarantee complete elimination of various bacteria, but it is still at least some kind of protection.
Step 4
If there is a double boiler in the house, there will also be no problems with sterilization. Just fill the container with water and set the timer for a few minutes.
Step 5
Today, in baby stores, you can purchase a special sterilizer for bottles and nipples. By purchasing such a device, you will make it easier for yourself to care for your baby's dishes and accessories. In these devices, sterilization takes place under the influence of an ultraviolet lamp. It is excellent at killing germs. It only takes three minutes to sterilize.

There are many different pacifiers. They can be rubber or plastic. As for the latter, they require special sterilization methods. Therefore, when buying a nipple, ask the seller what material it is made of and what method of processing is best to sterilize it.
Step 7
If you are going for a walk with your baby, take sterilized nipples and a bottle of boiled water with you. When you run out of supplies of clean pacifiers, rinse the dropped teat with liquid. And so that it does not fall off again, buy a special clothespin with a chain that attaches to the dummy and is fixed on the clothes.
