Fly Lady is a time planning and housekeeping system developed by American Marla Scilly. FLY is an abbreviation of the English words finally loving yourself, meaning "finally loving yourself." The verb to fiy means to fly. This amazing system helps many women around the world not only to make their home more comfortable, but also to be successful in all areas of life.

Instructions

Step 1

To become a “winged housewife”, learn to plan your time: day, week, month, etc. Then proceed according to the plan. The first step is to create a place in your home that embodies the ideal order. The author of the system, Marla Scilly, suggests that the sink in the kitchen be considered such a place. Try to keep it clean at all times and gradually spread the same habits to all other areas in the house.

Step 2

The daily work of the fly lady system is called “routine”. They may all be different. Morning - putting yourself in order, loading laundry into the washing machine, breakfast, washing dishes, etc. Evening - checking children's homework, planning tomorrow, etc. Wear comfortable and pretty clothes at home. In order not to bloom and feel in shape, Marla Scilly advises to wear lace-up shoes. In shoes that are difficult to wear, there is hardly a desire to lie down on the sofa to look through a magazine, because you have to bend over, untie the knot.

Step 3

Learn how to get rid of junk, so it will be much easier for you to maintain order. Throw out 27 unnecessary things from your home at least once a month: cosmetics and medicines that have expired, unsuccessful souvenirs, old magazines you read, clothes that have become small or out of fashion. It's a pity to throw something away - give it to those in need. If you still do not dare to part with something, put it in a separate bag and hide it away for six months. After this period, discard the bag without looking inside. After all, during this time you have already forgotten about its contents, but since it is still not needed, it means that you can live without it.

Step 4

Try not to buy a new one until you get rid of the old one. Got a couple of kitchen towels, put the old ones in the trash can right away. Until you use your existing stocks of cereals, pasta or canned food, do not buy new products. This will clear up cupboard space in your kitchen and save money.

Step 5

One of the important provisions of the fly lady system: always and immediately clean up after yourself. After all, washing the kitchen sink or wiping the stove immediately after washing the dishes or preparing food is much easier than then spending an hour or more to wipe off the greasy stains that are embedded in the tiles. Spend two minutes a day cleaning up hot spots. These can be considered those places in the house where, having put something in the morning, by the evening you will get a heap of garbage. For example, a nightstand by the bed, a coffee table or a shelf in the hallway.

Step 6

Divide the apartment into zones and plan different times for each of them. For example, this week you will be cleaning more thoroughly in the kitchen, and next week in your bedroom or bathroom. Try to spend no more than 15-30 minutes daily cleaning the area. In this way, you can avoid exhausting general cleaning, when you need to put the whole house in order in one day.

Step 7

And one more important postulate of the fly lady: do not forget to pamper yourself. After all, this system was originally conceived in order to free you from everyday life and make you feel like a woman. Try to give yourself at least half an hour every day - your favorite TV show, a bath with aromatic oils or a pedicure. Free your weekends from washing and cleaning and devote them to your family, reading your favorite books, meeting friends.
