When a child enters a new stage associated with school, he begins a partly independent life. The kid learns himself to make decisions, make choices, draw up a daily routine, live according to his own plan. How a student will learn depends directly on his self-esteem.

The effectiveness of training depends on the high or low self-esteem of the student. The important thing is how the child accepts and understands himself. If a student is shy and afraid to express his opinion, then he may be ashamed to answer in the classroom and thereby earn himself a bad reputation with the teacher.

Low self-esteem can cause a child to lose interest in learning. In addition, he may have a reluctance to attend an educational institution.

Undoubtedly, in such a situation, it is important for a child to be appreciated and praised for his work. The teacher is an authority for a young student. If the teacher appreciates the student's efforts, then the child's opinion of himself rises, if the work remains underestimated, then it goes down.

For younger students, the assessment of the teacher and parents is important. It often happens that a child's self-esteem is overestimated or lowered. In this case, the child cannot objectively assess his knowledge and his behavior, he completely trusts this question to an adult

Basically, the student's self-esteem is formed by the teacher. But do not ignore the relationship that develops in the classroom. Thus, the environment as a whole influences the development of the child.

Further, the work on the formation of self-esteem in the child is completely assigned to the teacher. He should not ignore children who cannot yet prove themselves. The student needs to be helped in such a situation, to push him towards solutions to various kinds of problems.

The work of a psychologist at school is very important. This person should monitor the situation in the class as a whole and the development of the personality of each student individually.

In this case, the psychologist conducts a lot of active games, joint conversations, extracurricular hours, immerses children in non-standard situations so that they can show their abilities and themselves.

A good solution to problems is to hike the whole class to specific locations or nature. Each child is given a task to complete. But if something doesn’t work out for the kid, then don’t scold him. On the contrary, the child is waiting for help and support. We need to gather a class and invite them to help a child who has failed. The main thing is to instill in him the belief that if you put in enough effort, he will succeed.

In addition, at such events, children unite, become closer to each other, find common themes and begin communication. The teacher needs to more often arrange various events to rally the team. Then the student's self-esteem will become adequate.

If a child in a team is humiliated, offended, not allowed to develop and express himself, then he has a low self-esteem. But if the child is praised too much, then self-esteem becomes high and sometimes biased. Such children become leaders, as they consider themselves special, and the rest of the students become followers, as they follow their leader.

Such a situation should not be allowed. The student's self-assessment must be adequate. It is unacceptable that he diminishes his abilities or exaggerates them. If this happens, then the child should be sent for a conversation with a school psychologist.

It is necessary to correct this situation at the beginning, when the child is still going to dialogue. It will be almost impossible to change the situation later.
