A woman preparing to become a mother must undergo a series of examinations in order to prevent complications in time with existing deviations. During pregnancy, the load on the heart, kidneys and liver increases, so these organs are included in the list of basic medical examinations.

Instructions

Step 1

Carries out registration and monitoring of the development of pregnancy by an obstetrician-gynecologist. This doctor reviews the results of routine tests of the pregnant woman, measures pressure, palpates swelling, prescribes an ultrasound examination of the uterus and fetus. Immediately after registration, the expectant mother is sent for medical examination by several specialists.

Step 2

In the early stages of pregnancy, a woman is consulted by a therapist. Previously, the expectant mother undergoes several studies - a clinical and biochemical blood test, a general urine test, electrocardiography, a blood test for HIV and hepatitis. The therapist collects an anamnesis of the life of the pregnant woman, asks about the presence of bad habits, evaluates the research results. Next, the doctor examines the patient, measures the pressure, counts the number of heart contractions and respiratory movements, auscultates the respiratory organs and the aorta. Assessing the general condition of the pregnant woman, the therapist makes a verdict on possible complications, which is recorded in the pregnant woman's card in points on a scale from 0 to 5.

Step 3

If a pathology of internal organs is suspected or detected, the therapist appoints additional consultations with doctors of narrow specialization. If a pregnant woman has abnormalities in the ECG, she is referred to a cardiologist, if an enlargement of the thyroid gland or an increase in blood glucose levels is detected, to an endocrinologist, if the lower extremities are pasty - to a nephrologist, if an antigen to hepatitis B virus is detected, C - to an infectious disease specialist, etc..d.

Step 4

Medical examination of pregnant women includes a consultation with an ophthalmologist. The optometrist assesses the woman's vision, examines the vessels on the retina, fundus and assesses the risk of complications on a five-point scale. If a pregnant woman has myopia or farsightedness, the question arises about artificial delivery, because during natural childbirth, a woman increases pressure in the vessels of the fundus, which can provoke retinal detachment and, accordingly, loss of vision.

Step 5

A young mother must be examined by a dermatologist. The doctor examines the skin and mucous membranes, in case of violation of their integrity (rash, ulceration) or hyperemia of certain areas, the dermatologist prescribes an additional examination, and then appropriate treatment. If a pregnant woman has manifestations of allergies, the doctor will hold an explanatory conversation on how to identify an allergen that requires exclusion from the diet of a pregnant woman.

Step 6

A woman preparing to become a mother must donate smears and blood, which are examined for the presence of a sexually transmitted infection (trichomoniasis, syphilis, chlamydia, etc.). With these analyzes, the pregnant woman is sent for examination to a venereologist. If the results are positive, the doctor prescribes treatment or recommends an artificial termination of pregnancy, because some pathogens have a negative effect on the fetus, incompatible with its life.

Step 7

A pregnant woman needs a dental check-up. If sick teeth are found, they are treated and the oral cavity is sanitized. An unhealed focus of inflammation can provoke complications of pregnancy, harm the health of the baby and mother.

Step 8

At certain times of pregnancy or for emergency indications, a woman undergoes an ultrasound of the uterus and fetus. In this examination, an ultrasound gynecologist assesses the development of the fetus, the state of the placenta and the place of its attachment, as well as a number of other factors.
