It is necessary to teach the child the elementary basics of mathematics (addition and subtraction) before he goes to school, since the school curriculum today is quite difficult and it will be better if the child is prepared.
Instructions
Step 1
To begin with, it is worth teaching your child numbers. This must be done in such a way as to interest him. It is worth picking up pictures where the numbers are shown in the form of interesting objects that will interest the baby. You should not give a lot of "base", you should limit yourself to the first ten. When the child memorizes the numbers, you can move on to the next stage of learning to subtract.
Step 2
After learning the numbers, we take two objects, preferably edible (for example, apples, sweets, cookies, etc.) and eat one, explaining to the child that “there were two apples, one ate, one apple left”. The method may seem silly, but the child will compare the concepts of "number / quantity" and will be able to understand the meaning of subtraction. Then we teach on subjects (it is not necessary to eat, you can simply hide behind your back) to subtract a child from at least six. And then various "fairy-tale" tasks come into play to make it easier for the child to navigate. Already having some experience of subtraction, the kid can easily solve them.
Step 3
It is worth considering some facts when teaching subtraction: the child must first be taught with real examples, and only then with children's tasks; you should not immediately demand higher mathematical knowledge from your kid, gradual training is necessary. And also it is worth combining the teaching of subtraction and addition, then it will be easier for the child to understand both of these concepts.
Step 4
You can teach a child to subtract according to a certain pattern. This teaching scheme is as follows: first, we help the child combine the concepts of "number / quantity", then we give him easy tasks, and then just send the child to school, where experienced specialists will teach him mathematics and other sciences. In the meantime, you just need to provide the kid with a base so that in this very school it would be easier for him. There is no need to rush, you should just "play with numbers" with your child, thereby gradually developing him and even making him interested in mathematics. Anyway, good luck with that.
