A child is growing in your family. More and more parents nowadays prefer to teach their child to read, write and count themselves. For some of the mothers, the home schooling program consists of their own understanding of arithmetic operations, others are guided by books.

Step 1
Be patient and start working with your child. Prepare counting sticks, arithmetic cash register with numbers from 0 to 10 and signs "+", "-", "=". Don't be limited to sticks and squares. Nuts, cones, acorns can serve as visual aids in teaching addition and subtraction, and arouse interest in classes. Keep your curiosity fresh. Learning is a game that should be stopped before the child gets tired. Two to three times a week will be sufficient. Do not overdo it.
Step 2
Begin to solve the first problems on voluminous visual aids, in pictures. Don't forget to ask the question of the problem. Gradually, the child will learn to understand and solve problems by imagination. Analyze with the child the elementary examples 1 + 1 = 2 and 2-1 = 1. On volumetric manuals, perform the action: “Put an apple in front of you, add another apple to it. How many apples are there? Try to do all the actions together, help the child if he finds it difficult.
Step 3
Start each lesson with a review of what you have gone through. It can be oral counting, and solving oral problems with the indication of a subject picture, and exchanging coins (5, 2, 1 ruble). Development of the child's constructive abilities is simply necessary. Give the child the opportunity to combine various geometric shapes, color them, i.e. show your imagination.
Step 4
Children are happy to solve problems with guessing the intended number. Encourage the children to compose these tasks themselves. You say, “I have a number in mind. I added it to 4 and it turned out to be 7. Guess what number I have in mind. Show the very record of such a problem 4 + * = 7.
Step 5
But do not rush to move on to new tasks, first make sure that you have firmly grasped the previous ones. Conduct systematic training, because children have a serious attitude towards learning, disobedience and excessive activity are pacified, which is necessary when entering school.
