Starting from a certain period of pregnancy, a woman is entitled to sick leave for pregnancy and childbirth, which is paid by the state. It will not be difficult to get this sick leave, but there are still some subtleties that you should pay attention to.
Instructions
Step 1
The sick leave will have to be issued by your attending obstetrician-gynecologist at the antenatal clinic in which you are registered. He is obliged to issue you a certificate of incapacity for work for a period of 30 obstetric weeks, and the period of sick leave must be 140 days. With multiple pregnancies, you can take sick leave at 28 weeks for 194 days.
Step 2
If you do not want to go on maternity leave so early, then you can refuse to issue sick leave. In this case, you will be given it at the first request before delivery.
Step 3
If the birth took place before 30 weeks of pregnancy, then a sick leave for pregnancy and childbirth will be issued to you in the maternity hospital in which you gave birth. The period of such sick leave will be 156 days.
Step 4
If there are any complications during childbirth, then upon discharge you will be given an additional sick leave for a period of 16 days.
Step 5
After you receive your sick leave in your hands, be sure to check that it is filled out correctly. Please note that starting July 22, 2011, it will be purple, blue or black and cannot be completed with a ballpoint pen. On the sick leave, two triangular seals are placed - in the upper and lower right corners and one rectangular - in the upper left, indicating the name of the medical institution. The last stamp may not be, then the information about the clinic is entered into the form by hand. Do not forget to also check whether your data and data about the organization to which the sick leave are to be submitted are correctly entered.
Step 6
Take the certificate of incapacity for work to the HR department or accounting department of the organization in which you work. There you will need to write an application for sick leave. Within 10 days, you should be credited with maternity benefits.
