Every pregnant woman sooner or later asks about the need to register with an obstetrician-gynecologist. Someone does this in the early stages of pregnancy, someone practically before childbirth. Of course, early registration will help to avoid the troubles associated with pregnancy and the birth of a baby. Let's figure out where to start and where to go.
Instructions
Step 1
You can register for pregnancy at the clinic at the place of registration or actual residence. If you have the opportunity, then in a commercial center or a medical center at a maternity hospital, you can also be monitored during pregnancy.
Step 2
If you plan to register with a government agency, you must bring your medical certificate and passport. In the antenatal clinic, a special card of a pregnant woman (exchange card) will be brought to you, into which, during the entire waiting period of the baby, the results of analyzes, ultrasound, monitoring the health and well-being of your and future crumbs will be entered.
Step 3
In this case, it is better to register with your doctor who monitored your health before pregnancy. If, nevertheless, you have to be observed in another place, then you need to take a card or extracts from it about the diseases you have suffered, vaccinations made, operations, existing contraindications. This will help your doctor get a more complete picture of your health.
Step 4
The advantages of the commercial center are the absence of queues and a more attentive attitude towards patients. Therefore, many expectant mothers register at a paid clinic. The cost of pregnancy is about 50-70 thousand rubles there. You need to conclude an agreement with the center, choosing an obstetrician-gynecologist and a list of services that you need in the future.
Step 5
By registering in the early stages of pregnancy (up to 12 weeks), you reduce the risk of pathologies in the baby and minimize possible complications associated with pregnancy. The obstetrician-gynecologist will be able to prescribe the necessary tests, ultrasound and other examinations for you. In addition, by registering in the first weeks of pregnancy, you will receive a small allowance (half the minimum wage). It will be paid at the time of maternity leave.
