Step 1
Within 30 days from the date of birth, submit documents for the initial receipt of a passport at the passport office at the place of registration or at the place of actual residence. In the application, indicate your details: full name, date and place of birth, full name of parents, home address (registration address and actual residence address). If you were previously a citizen of another state, you should indicate which one and fill in the date of adoption of Russian citizenship. It is also necessary to indicate the reason for issuing a passport: reaching the age of 14. Sign the application. Attach the required documents to it, including the citizenship insert, which is drawn up after receiving the birth certificate. If suddenly there is no citizenship insert or it is lost, additional documents will be required: copies of parents' passports, certificates from the place of residence.
Step 2
A citizen is obliged to obtain a passport in a timely manner, otherwise a fine will be imposed on him (from 2 thousand rubles and above). Obtaining a passport upon reaching the age of 14 is not a right, but a duty that should not be neglected. It is necessary to plan in advance for obtaining a passport, especially if some kind of trip is planned. You can submit documents not only to the passport office, but directly to the FMS. As a rule, the time for obtaining a passport in this case can be reduced to several days.
Step 3
The employee receiving the documents will check and register the application. He will also notify about the dates of the readiness of the passport. You can also fill out an application on the official website of the FMS, but documents must be submitted in person.
When submitting documents at the place of residence, you will receive a passport in 10 days, and at the place of actual stay - within 2 months. At the time of issuing a passport, you can be issued on request with a temporary document proving your identity.
