Sometimes parents have to travel abroad to work, on an excursion, or for another purpose. It is possible that there is neither desire nor opportunity to leave the child at home. But in order to take your child on a trip abroad, the first thing he needs to do is get a foreign passport.

Instructions
Step 1
Please note that from March 1, 2010, citizens of the Russian Federation will receive a new foreign passport - the so-called biometric passport. In such a document there is a microchip where the owner's personal data is stored. Moreover, it has protection at the level of banknotes. But it is impossible to enter a child's biometric passport.
Step 2
If you have a passport of this type, then for children you must issue separate passports of the same type. Please note that such a document must include a photograph of its small owner.
Step 3
Contact the territorial department of the Federal Migration Service, which will tell you the cost of issuing a child passport, the timing of its issuance, as well as what kind of documents you need for this.
Step 4
According to the existing rules, you must provide the following documents for a child whose age has not yet reached eighteen years: the original of the civil passport of one of the applicant's parents, the original, as well as a copy of the civil passport and (or) the child's birth certificate, two copies of the application completed parent - applicant. Please note that such a statement must be printed on both sides of one sheet. The old one you present can be obtained from the passport office where you are registered.
Step 5
Pay for the receipts issued to you at the territorial department of the FMS. Present the receipt confirming the payment of the state fee at the bank along with the other listed documents. The state duty today is: 1200 rubles for a child under 14 years old, 2500 rubles for a child over 14 years old.
Step 6
Bring the child to the FMS department to take photos on the spot. After submitting all the documents, wait for the passport to be ready.
