The modern world has a very high pace of life. There is a sharp social stratification of society, there is a shortage of real communication due to the spread of the Internet. Kindness has been valued at all times. It is on it, according to the ideas of many great writers, philosophers and humanist educators, that the world has been and continues to be. Many books, films, pictures of great Russian artists convey the same idea to us: "You can save with a word!"
How to save with a word? Say something kind to a desperate person. To say from the heart, imbued with his pain, his suffering, feeling for a moment the same as he did. Yes, it is difficult, there is a danger of ruining your mood, disturbing your own peace, your happiness, satisfaction with life.
How did it happen that truly kind words became scarce? In modern society, it is customary to draw a clear line between one's own problems and those of others. That is why a person in need of a kind word and support can often hear what is thrown: "These are your problems …"
Why is this happening? Many factors influence people: a sharp change in the political structure of society, and a change in the set of universal human values, and much more. When on TV screens every day they talk about problems, when every day hundreds of people die in wars and disasters, it is very easy to harden the soul. The troubles and sorrows of other people begin to be perceived as something familiar - after all, it is impossible to empathize with everyone, to accept all the pain of the world as your own.
Kindness will save the world
And, nevertheless, despite all the problems of modern society, there are many kind people in it who are ready at any time to lend a helping hand to a person in need. In Russia and other countries, various charitable organizations, communities, centers are being created in which people help each other not only in word, but also in deed.
To understand how you can save with a word, look around you - for sure in your environment, close or distant, there is a person who is bad at heart, morally hard, who is perhaps one step from the edge of the abyss called suicide, drug addiction or something similar. Become immersed in the person's problem, do not seek to judge him or label him as a failure. Do not spare a few kind words for him, spoken from the heart.
To learn to see and feel the problems of another person, you need to be able to empathize, compassion, have a desire to help. Remember more often the wonderful words of A. Saint-Exupery: "Only the heart is vigilant, you cannot see the most important thing with your eyes." Cultivate in yourself kindness in all its manifestations, and you can save more than one person with a word.
