In many countries, sexual relations with persons under the age of 16 are criminalized. But all this is the letter of the law. In fact, everything can turn out completely differently.
At what age can a girl have sex
Today, there is simply no universal answer to this question! Doctors cannot set clear age boundaries for girls to reach puberty. For some girls it is 14 years old, for others it is 17 or 18 years old. In addition, much depends not so much on their attainment of a particular age, as on the presence of a partner.
Today, statistics generally show a colossal difference in the age period for the onset of sexual activity. It will sound shocking, but a few years ago, many girls started having sex between the ages of 16 and 18, and now it is not uncommon for the first sexual relations to occur between the ages of 12 and 14! Such data terrify doctors. The fact is that abortion at such a tender female age is categorically unacceptable for a girl. In addition, there is a high risk of psychological trauma and sexually transmitted diseases.
Psychological and physical maturity of girls
Any girl should know that her readiness for the first sex should be conditioned by psychological and physical maturity. In other words, before thinking about at what age it is worth having the first sex, you need to absolutely understand and be aware that the first sexual relationship is not just a sexual act with the goal of physical satisfaction. First sex should be a manifestation of love and platonic feelings, combined with puberty.
The first menstruation in girls, according to the average, occurs between the ages of 12 and 14 years. This is precisely the evidence of the preparation of their body for puberty, but not yet puberty! Basically, in order for the childbearing function and the menstrual cycle to come to full "combat readiness", the girl will need to live without sex for another 1-2 years after the first menstruation.
However, here, too, it should be noted: not always, upon reaching puberty, one should rush to the beginning of bed relationships. The fact is that the psychological maturity of girls can both outstrip the physical maturity, and significantly lag behind it. If, for example, a 17-year-old girl is not yet mentally ready for sex, then there is nothing to think about! It's too early for her to do this. Or another example: if an 11-year-old girl has a rather powerful emotional sympathy for a boy, she is in love with him, then this does not mean that her body is already ready for physical intimacy with him.
Basically, the psychological maturity of girls comes closer to 17-18 years. That is why the current legislation of the Russian Federation approves marriages at this age. If we briefly summarize all of the above, then we can safely conclude that sex under 16 in most cases can bring much more problems than pleasure. Although … Today, as always, both girls and boys make their own decisions about when to begin their sexual experience.
