Most often, the reaction to the mixture is observed in the first days after the transition to artificial feeding. Do not rush to immediately change the mixture to another. This can cause even more digestive problems. But in order to somehow reduce the likelihood of dyspeptic (intestinal) disorders, enter the mixture in a small amount.

Due to the insufficiently developed enzymatic system, which is not able to break down the larger protein molecules that make up the mixture, the baby may have a skin reaction (allergy). However, this is still not a reason to think that the mixture is not suitable. Try alternating it with medicated milk formulas for a while to activate enzymes. And only if the allergy persists and, moreover, intensifies, change the mixture to another.

Observe not only the condition of the baby, but also his weight - the main indicator of the suitability of the mixture. If the transition to artificial feeding is accompanied by diarrhea and simultaneous weight gain appropriate for age, then the body uses compensatory capabilities to assimilate all nutrients from the mixture. In this situation, the chair can be brought back to normal over time.

In the case of normal stool, but no weight gain or weight loss, you can be sure that the mixture is not suitable. Perhaps its composition does not contribute to the normal metabolism of the baby.

Observe the technique and regimen of formula feeding, since overfeeding is a common mistake with artificial feeding. This can ultimately lead to digestive upset, which is difficult to distinguish from a reaction to the mixture.
