In the last weeks of pregnancy, expectant mothers begin to be tormented by the question: "Is everything ready for the birth of a baby?" And in this pleasant hustle and bustle of shopping for rompers and suits, it is important not to forget that you need to take care of what you take with you to the hospital. After all, it is better to collect a bag with things in advance, at 36 weeks. And it is better to carry the necessary documents with you at all times.

Instructions

Step 1

Collect and put in a plastic folder the documents that you need to present at the hospital. Put your passport, compulsory health insurance policy, exchange card and birth certificate (issued at the place of pregnancy), birth contract, if you give birth in a paid department. If your husband is with you at the birth, he also needs to show his passport.

Step 2

You need to collect a bag with things for yourself, taking into account the requirements of the hospital. If the hospital allows you to wear your own clothes, purchase a set with a robe and nightgown. A special cotton set for pregnant and lactating women is suitable, which after childbirth will not be a pity to throw away. You will need 2-3 nightgowns for the postpartum period.

Step 3

Take rubber slippers and socks to the rod block. Please note that in the emergency room you will be asked to remove all jewelry. The maximum that is allowed is a cross on a string and a wedding ring. Therefore, in the last weeks before childbirth, discard any jewelry. But you will be allowed to carry your mobile phone into the family room. Don't forget to just put the charger in your bag. For emergency room procedures, you will need a new razor in the package. If you have varicose veins, wear special elastic bandages or stockings.

Step 4

For the postpartum period, prepare the following hygiene items by folding them into a plastic cosmetic bag: toothbrush and paste, baby soap, shampoo, wet wipes, special postpartum pads. For the first days, prepare special disposable underpants. For those who have gained a lot of weight during pregnancy, a postpartum bandage will come in handy.

Step 5

If you are planning to breastfeed your baby, collect everything you need for this process. To get rid of unpleasant chest congestion, you need a breast pump. For comfortable feeding, prepare a special bra, absorbent breast pads, and nipple cream.

Step 6

If the rules of the maternity hospital allow you to dress the baby immediately after giving birth in the clothes you brought, collect a small bag with things for the baby. Put on a pair of cotton jumpsuits and bodysuits, socks, and a hat. For hygiene of the baby, you will need a pack of disposable diapers, wet wipes, and protective cream.
