Sounds surround us all the time. This is city noise, dripping tap water, and our speech. All sounds are different from each other. Speech sounds are specific. Distinguishing them in the flow of speech, we can define words, sentences. This is how human communication takes place. Children in the process of their development master their native language, but it often happens that sounds are acquired incorrectly. As a result, speech development may go down the wrong path.

It is necessary

  • - mirror;
  • - pictures depicting objects (didactic material);
  • - speech therapy lotto.

Instructions

Step 1

Talk to your child more often, watch your own pronunciation. Sounds should be clear. Read short poems and stories to your child. Speak slowly and ask your child to repeat words syllables. If you notice that your baby (children after 4 years old) does not pronounce any sounds of speech or speaks them incorrectly, then contact a speech therapist for advice. It is possible that the reason is that the child does not distinguish sounds of speech by ear (violation of phonemic perception).

Step 2

To learn to distinguish between the sounds of your native language, buy a speech therapy loto and didactic material (pictures). To begin with, take sounds that are different in characteristics, for example, sound C and B. Pick up pictures whose names begin with these sounds (elephant, cheese, catfish, dog, tambourine, beaver, balalaika). Show your child each picture and ask them to name the items depicted on it. If the kid does not know what it is, name it yourself. Explain the condition of the game: you show a picture, and the child names the object and chooses only pictures starting with the sound C. You can play with different pictures and different sounds.

Step 3

When the child has already learned to identify sounds, play speech therapy lotto with him. To do this, give your child a card with a specific sound, for example C and Cb. Explain that you will search for these two sounds in words and select only such pictures. Show your child different pictures with objects for different sounds. The kid should choose only the necessary pictures. Complicate the task and ask to determine the position of the sound in the word (at the beginning, in the middle or at the end). For example, a dog is a sound C at the beginning of a word, a wheel is a sound in the middle, a bus is a sound at the end.

Step 4

If your child is having trouble making a sound, try explaining his articulation in front of a mirror. Try with your child to achieve the correct pronunciation. For example, explain that the sound C is the song of a mosquito, it whistles. The lips are in a smile, the tongue is behind the lower teeth, and the air jet is cold and blowing downward. There is a special articulatory gymnastics that will help you master the correct pronunciation of a sound.
