And learning to read is no exception. All lessons are best done in the form of a game for 5-7 minutes several times a day. Classes should be regular, otherwise there will be no sense.

Step 1
The method is very popular when the child is initially taught not letters, but sounds. You can use the primer of Zhukova NS, it is based on the sound-letter method.
Step 2
The child first remembers the sounds, and only then the letters to which they correspond: not [EM], but [M], not [EN], but [N]. It turns out that it's easier to add syllables this way.
Step 3
It is better to start with learning vowel sounds, then consonants, starting with solid and voiced ones. Play hide and seek, hide cards with sounds, and the child must find a given sound.
Step 4
When all the sounds are mastered, you can start reading simple syllables: MA, BA, GA, MU, etc. Let the child read it himself and say which animal says MU, HA, ME.
Step 5
Then move on to more complex syllables: OM, AM, ED, UG, etc. Hang cards with these syllables around the apartment and invite your child to read from time to time.
Step 6
Then you can move on to reading simple words: MOM, BABA, DAD, GOAT, BUSINESS, LOTO, LENA, MASH, etc. Make sure that the pronunciation of the sounds is correct.
Step 7
The next stage will be more difficult words: MILK, WHEEL, CANAVE, ROAD, SWAMP, etc. Then read the words: CAT, LEO, HONEY, YEAR, etc. Write the names of the child's favorite toys on the cards, let him draw out one by one, reads and brings the specified item. Don't forget to praise and encourage!
Step 8
Gradually, the child will learn to read words, and you will be able to combine them into phrases, and then into sentences! Make up and write a short story with 3-4 word sentences about your toddler and his adventures and let him read. The main thing now is to develop a child's interest in reading, to consolidate and train the acquired skills.
