Step 1
Do not panic. The main thing is not to make the mistakes that many parents often make in this situation. Do not wrap your child up. Babies have imperfect thermoregulatory mechanisms and can cause overheating. Wrapping your baby up can lead to a sharp rise in temperature.
Step 2
Take your time with antipyretics until the temperature rises above 38-38.5 C. Be careful if the child has had fever cramps. In this case, taking antipyretics is indicated already at 37.5 C. Give the child a decoction of linden flowers (pipette into the mouth). You can brew tea bags (1 bag for a glass of boiling water). A decoction of chamomile (calendula) will also help. It can also be instilled into the mouth and the nose can be rinsed in case of a runny nose. It is better to do this with a special rubber bulb. For washing, you can use ready-made products (aquamaris, physiomir marimer or aqualor). After rinsing the mucus from the nose, remove it with a cotton swab.
Step 3
Do not give antibiotics until your doctor tells you to. Their use is justified only in severe cases. Try physical cooling methods first. Undress your baby and remove the diaper. Wipe the pens with a napkin dipped in cool water (about +18 - + 20C). Give your baby plenty of fluids (herbal tea or fruit drink) and breastfeed on demand.
Step 4
If the temperature cannot be brought down, use antipyretics. For babies, the shape of the candles is very convenient, since the stomach is not irritated. Candles can be used from different companies (cefekon, nurofen). Use suppositories Viferon or Kipferon to enhance the baby's immunity and accelerate recovery.
Step 5
Ventilate the room often, carry out wet cleaning. Place saucers with cloves of peeled garlic and onions in several places in the room. This will help neutralize viruses in the air in the room.
