In any organization, there are a number of elements that are called internal variables. These variables include goals, objectives, structure, technology, and people. All of them are the result of management activities.

The goal is the result that the organization seeks to achieve. This is a concrete and achievable dimension. The achievability of this goal is directly related to the capabilities of the organization: the availability of the necessary resources and the degree of qualifications of personnel. The specific dimension of the goal is the boundary, most often represented by a number, that can be achieved through the use of the organization's existing resources and the proper qualifications of employees.

Step 2

The goals are developed by the main management of the organization. In this they can be helped by specialists invited from communication and consulting agencies, or an internal public relations manager.

Step 3

Goals are created not only for the organization as a whole, but also for each of its departments. This indicates the interconnection of goals at different levels. For each goal, tasks are prescribed - steps to achieve.

Step 4

The head of each of them should specify the goals for the employees of the departments. Different departments are engaged in work with their own specifics, and although the general management should know it, it is not obliged to understand it deeply. Also, it is not always familiar with employees and their success, and goals are set so that each individual person is able to achieve them.

Step 5

All members of the organization must align its goals with their own. If they are acceptable to them, workers will move towards achieving them faster and perform their assigned tasks more efficiently. Therefore, the goals can be divided into the following categories: the goals of the organization as a single system, the goals of the units in their areas, the group goals of informal groups and personal goals.

Step 6

All subsequent work is in full accordance with the set goals: control over the quality and timing of work is carried out. Goals are adjusted based on academic performance.

Step 7

The goals should be aligned with the mission and vision - the ideal vision for the future of the organization. If they do not correlate, the result may end up very different from what was originally desired.

Step 8

There are several main organizational goals: making a profit, increasing market share and sales, reducing production costs, improving the quality of goods and services, increasing customer flow and promoting goods.

Step 9

The goals are strategic - they are drawn up for ten years in advance, tactical - for five years (they are intermediate tasks of the period), and operational - for a year (this is the minimum reporting period).
