Very often, having played, the child goes to bed hard enough and does everything possible and impossible in order to postpone the moment of going to bed, that is, he begins to hide from his parents, want to go to the toilet, drink. The parent must remain completely unwavering and not change the set sleep times, even if the child claims he does not want to sleep.

As your child gets older, his need for naps gradually decreases, so you can gradually move the bedtime to an earlier time, and no nap altogether. But keep in mind that each child has a personal need for sleep, it can be different even among sisters and brothers.

In order to avoid possible problems with laying the child, it is necessary to make sure that his evening passes as calmly as possible, without a TV, computer and noisy games, and it is necessary not only to fence the child from the TV and computer, but even from the premises where they are work.

Do not limit the activity and actions of the child during the day, because if the child plays enough and runs over, by the evening he will get tired and want to rest himself.

In order to understand the child's need for rest, observe him: how he behaves if he did not sleep during the day or went to bed yesterday at nine in the evening. Taking into account such data and observations, you can easily find a sleep and activity mode that is suitable for your child, slightly changing it as the baby grows up.

If the daily routine provides for a daytime sleep, put it down immediately after lunch: it will fall asleep easier in the evening.

Before bed, give him a tablespoon of honey mixed with lemon juice. It is not only delicious, but also good for sleep.

If the child went to bed without whims, be sure to praise him for it when he wakes up.

What not to do

Don't let him dictate your terms and stick to the schedule; do not punish or intimidate the child, as this will further upset him; do not think about his bad behavior and warn in advance what awaits him for not wanting to go to bed.
