The expectant mother and her loved ones, in anticipation of the holiday that the maternity hospital will give, needs to take care of all the components of this exciting event in advance. Everything is important: the readiness of the documents, the choice of the necessary things for the pregnant woman and the unborn baby, the thoughtfulness of the "script" of the discharge.
Instructions
Step 1
Take a list of documents, items and things in advance that it is recommended to take with you to your hospital: the provision is different everywhere, where it is strictly state-owned, and where it is not.
Step 2
Put everything you need in separate packages: documents; things for the "prenatal period" and childbirth; things for discharge.
In the folder with documents, attach:
- the passport;
- generic certificate;
- insurance policy;
- a completed exchange card;
- the results of the prescribed tests for AIDS;
- the results of the performed ultrasound (if any);
- data with the coordinates of the hospital (address, phone numbers).
Step 3
Find out in advance what will be the connection from the hospital with the outside world (only a mobile or payphone, reception phone, etc.), whether it is possible to take a camera, video camera, player. Stock up on paper with a pen and pencil (for notes, necessary memos). Do not forget about your favorite reading.
Step 4
Take all the necessary hygiene items: soap, toothbrush and paste, shampoo, baby soap, face and hand cream, comb, handkerchiefs, toilet paper, pads, facial tissues, or a small terry towel (for wiping off sweat if needed), plastic bags for soiled linen.
Step 5
Think over a set of clothes for the ward and things that you will need during and after childbirth. Will come in handy:
- cotton nightgown or long T-shirt, cotton panties;
- socks made of natural fabric;
- slippers (washable).
Step 6
Take care of the supplemental food allowed in your particular maternity hospital. Often, according to the situation, non-carbonated mineral water and herbal tea specially brewed in a thermos for childbirth are in demand.
Step 7
For the postpartum period, prepare a comfortable cotton blouse, shirt or robe. Bring two bras with a front closure for nursing, breast pads, a milk container, special nipple protectors and a cream to heal possible cracks.
Step 8
Buy diapers to care for your newborn. For discharge, purchase light and warm undershirts, a cap and hat, thin and flannel diapers, an envelope or one or two baby blankets. For an envelope, you may need sliders or pants with socks, a blouse. The hero of the occasion needs to prepare clothes to size, without adjusting for the former belly. All clothes are suitable for the weather.
