All maternity hospitals in Russia accept women for childbirth in a general stream or under a contract. The choice of giving birth for a fee or for free remains with the woman. But paid childbirth does not provide the most important thing: a successful outcome of childbirth and any responsibility of doctors for their mistakes. Basically, you only pay for a comfortable stay and life insurance. Yes, the equipment and conditions of the family homes make many pay, just not to be the eighth in the ward and not use one toilet for the entire department.

When concluding a contract, all the nuances and conditions that will be provided to a woman are prescribed: a separate ward, visits to relatives, the opportunity for a spouse to attend the birth and spend the night in the ward with you. The child can be with you, or maybe in the children's department. The course of labor is also described. If you have a planned caesarean section, the contract is more expensive. You can specify the type of anesthesia or pain reliever to be applied. The contract comes with your life insurance for a certain amount set by the insurer.

In any case, you should be delivered by any working maternity hospital. You must have your passport, insurance policy, exchange card and birth certificate issued by the clinic where you were observed during pregnancy. If you do not have these documents, you may be referred to an institution that specializes in infectious diseases. If your childbirth has already begun, then any maternity hospital will accept you, but after childbirth you will be placed in the infectious diseases department. Therefore, one month before the expected due date, carry all the necessary documents with you.

In large cities, each district has its own family house. They will accept a resident of the area free of charge, even if the institution is overcrowded. But paid childbirth, if there are no places, may be refused.
Step 5
Most maternity hospitals agree to the presence of the husband in any form of childbirth. Some maternity hospitals ask the husband to provide a health certificate. This can be fluorography, a certificate from a therapist, blood tests for HIV infection. If at the time of childbirth a quarantine is declared in the hospital, then the administration has the right not to let the spouse in.
