A candle decorated with your own hands using decoupage technique can be a good gift for the holiday. Come up with different themes, for example, choose a floral pattern for mom and sister, a striped ornament for dad, and a drawing with funny animals for friends. And for the New Year, you can make a pattern with stars, angels and gifts.
You will need: a napkin with a pattern, a large candle, scissors, a spoon, a tablet candle and a universal outline.
Divide the napkin into three layers and cut out the motifs you like from the top layer with the pattern. Heat a spoon over the flame of a small pill candle. Do this under the supervision of your parents.
Place the drawing on the candle and press with a hot spoon. The paraffin under the napkin will melt and stick to it. Run a hot spoon over the entire pattern until it is fully adhered. Once all the motifs on the candle are fused in, circle the drawings with a universal outline.
Advice. To prevent the pasted drawing from catching fire from the flame of a candle, cover it with a thin layer of soap: just wet a piece of soap and drag over the drawing.
