Step 1
Offer the baby to paint with finger paints at the age of 10-12 months. Finger paints have a pleasant consistency, bright colors. You need to draw with your fingers. Place the baby on the highchair, secure a large sheet of paper with tape on the tabletop. First open one paint and show the kid that you can draw a line, a circle. Let the baby try to draw whatever he thinks about. You can put your baby in the bath on an anti-slip mat. Let him paint the bathtub and the wall with pleasure. The paint can be easily washed off with water.
Step 2
After a year, offer your child felt-tip pens. Show him that you can draw with felt-tip pens. Try from the very beginning to teach your child to properly hold a pencil or felt-tip pens with three fingers, and not clamp them in a fist.
Step 3
Try not to ask your kid to draw something specific, let him draw what he has in mind. This should be his personal manifestation of fantasy. The child should not be afraid that his drawing will be laughed at.
Step 4
Don't criticize your child's work. From constant criticism, the child can abandon this case. Try not to fix anything in his drawing. If you want to explain how an object is drawn, or the kid himself asks you to help him, then draw a hint on a separate sheet. And he will then redraw your example on his piece of paper.
Step 5
If your toddler is not interested in drawing, try to lure him in with play. Tell that now you will draw a road for a typewriter, draw a forest, a bridge, houses nearby. For these purposes, large sheets of paper or unnecessary rolls of wallpaper are suitable. Spread them directly on the floor and paint.
Step 6
When your child learns to draw with a pencil, introduce him to colors. For this, watercolors are best suited. It is very useful to let the kid work with the coloring. He will practice accurate painting of details and correct selection of colors. On the street in the warm season, a child can draw with colored crayons on the asphalt.
