Step 1
At 2-3 years old, it is time for a child to learn concepts such as "a lot", "little", "more", "less". You can develop these skills in various ways: from pictures and live examples, at home and on the street, in an active form and with a calm conversation. The ability to count will be useful at this age. First, introduce your child to all the numbers, and then gradually master the count. Do not hurry. Let the child learn 1 and 2 well at first. Only then move on.
Step 2
It is important in the early learning process to develop the skill of sorting objects according to various criteria. For example, you can combine them by color, shape, and size. Sort the animal figurines by domestic / wild, by habitat, and so on. Combine items of clothing according to what season they are worn, for women or for men. You can study the properties of objects in this way anywhere. Constant training teaches the kid to think, reflect, analyze the situation. And if the child sorts small objects with his hands, this is an additional exercise for the development of motor skills, which in turn contributes to the development of speech.
Step 3
Develop spatial concepts in a 2-3 year old child: right, left, side, lower, higher, and so on. You can train them in the process of unfolding objects, drawing, playing with stickers. It is also time for the baby to master small puzzles, for example, from 2-4 pieces, and cut pictures, folding horizontally or vertically.
Step 4
By the age of 2-3 years, the child should become well acquainted with some animals. Show them in pictures, in the zoo, in cartoons, talk about what they eat and where they live. Usually, at this age, the baby is already quite good at depicting the sounds that some domestic and wild animals make. Learn to recognize them by description, oral and visual, and classify them by the examples above.
