Of all the subjects taught in first grade, writing tends to be the hardest for a child. This is due to the fact that the baby still has insufficiently developed small muscles of the hand, there is not enough experience in performing graphic tasks, there is simply no interest in a boring and uninteresting subject.
To make it easier for a child to master writing, it is necessary to train the hand before school. Even in early childhood, strongly encourage activities such as folding a pyramid, laying out mosaics, modeling, applique. Do not rush to button and unfasten buttons for the child: all these are exercises that will gradually prepare the child's hand for writing.
Buy a coloring book for your baby. Explain to him that you need to paint over the outline as accurately as possible. Warn you to try not to go beyond it.
For older children, a good workout will be the tasks "finish drawing" or "connect the dots", which allow to develop spatial coordination. But remember: all classes are conducted only at the request of the child. If he doesn’t want to, don’t force him: this will only form a persistent reluctance to pick up a pencil at all. You can try to interest the kid with a bright catchy cover, an interesting drawing, a brand new pack of colored pencils.
It is very useful for preschoolers to play with small details, for example, tightening nuts for boys or stringing beads for girls, you can do special exercises to develop the hand.
Closer to school, you can show the kid different types of shading and offer to shade the drawn outline. Another interesting task that children usually do with pleasure is to copy the drawing, tracing its outlines along the points available.
When conducting classes with a baby, do not forget that their duration should not exceed 10 minutes. After that, you definitely need a break. Make sure that the child is sitting correctly during classes and that the notebook is at the right angle.
It is not worth buying a school copybook for a child and teaching him to write with their help: if a child remembers the incorrect spelling of letters, then he will have to relearn, and this is quite difficult. In the event that the kid has a desire to learn, buy him special recipes for preschoolers. And let the child draw as much as possible: if he can accurately depict a house, the sun in the sky, flowers, then he will not have any special problems with writing.
