Often, teachers do not take into account the individual characteristics of children, do not strive to understand how this or that student lives. By demanding from each child a certain set of knowledge and actions, teachers equalize all children, turning them into a kind of faceless common mass. Hence the problems with academic failure and bad behavior.

First of all, you need to have a desire to study the personality of the child, his inner needs and interests. At the same time, you should not initiate the child into all the difficulties associated with his personality and hang labels, for him you should still remain an older and wise friend. Remember that you are a teacher, and your job is not only a dry presentation of the program material and control of the issuance of a normative knowledge base by the student. Your main task is to teach your child to learn, equip him with "tools" that will help him to acquire new knowledge with interest, and also help get rid of those fears, complexes and real obstacles that prevent him from fully and productively to study.

Thus, the most effective and efficient methods of educational interaction with difficult children are individual control tasks, compiled taking into account the abilities of each child; additional classes in extended day groups with a thorough study of all problematic issues; individual homework assignments, selected in accordance with the level of the student's capabilities.

If your student does not have problems with academic performance, but does not recognize the authority of the teacher in you, does not respect you, it is also necessary to understand the reasons for this rejection. Perhaps an individual conversation with a child on an equal footing will help. Listen to the grievances expressed by him, perhaps you are in something wrong and your chosen model of interaction with this student is too authoritarian.
