Previously, this fungal infection was called mold or thrush, now it is called by the generic name - candidiasis. With this disease, which is caused by yeast-like fungi from the genus Candida, one in three children already in the maternity hospital.

Step 1
See your doctor at the first sign of thrush. Remove films from the baby's mouth with a cotton swab dipped in a 2% soda solution (1/4 teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of boiled water). Perform the procedure several times a day. Try not to use brilliant green, it is better to buy a special antifungal solution or cream for treating the oral cavity of babies at the pharmacy. You can purchase nystatin powder and dilute it as directed.
Step 2
Lubricate the teats with prepared solutions before feeding, and after eating - the baby's mouth. Constantly check the baby's inguinal folds, the skin in these places often turns red, its upper layer - the epidermis - can flake off, and white liquid appears in the exposed areas. All this is accompanied by itching, which makes the child anxious. In such cases, the use of powders, oils and creams will not help. Treat your skin with an antifungal ointment with nystatin or levorin.
Step 3
Make sure that the baby does not get sick with intestinal infections. For some of them, antibiotics are recommended, which intensify thrush and contribute to its transition to internal organs.
Step 4
Spend more time with your baby in the fresh air, start every morning with massage and gymnastics, and do hardening. Thrush is more common in debilitated children. The immunity of such a crumb must be strengthened in all ways so that candidiasis does not take root in the body, causing fungal pneumonia (pneumonia) or blood poisoning (sepsis).
Step 5
Use gauze diapers (be sure to boil them) until the baby is completely cured. Such diapers need to be changed as often as possible, only then the mushrooms under them cannot multiply.
Step 6
Process, if using, nipples, pacifiers by boiling. There should be five or six sterile items, store them in a closed container (jar), changing as needed.
Step 7
Check with your doctor: you may need to purchase a fluconazole-based drug that is approved for use from the age of six months. Before performing any manipulations on the treatment of the affected mucous membrane of the child, wash your hands thoroughly.
