Step 1
Imagine the situation: your little one has been eating this formula perfectly for several months. But suddenly there are alarms that indicate that the mixture needs to be changed. They will be expressed allergic reactions; the child reaches the age when it is necessary to switch to another stage of feeding; the need to introduce mixtures with a special therapeutic effect; and, conversely, the transition from the medical mixture to the usual one.
Step 2
Quite often, medicinal mixtures are prescribed for children who are bottle-fed. They are intended, as a rule, for premature babies; infants with allergies; low birth weight; for children with food intolerances and for children with regurgitation. They are usually appointed by the supervising pediatrician.
Step 3
If the need to change the nutrition has arisen, then you need to act. To get started, study the information on other mixtures. Maybe the baby needs a lighter or, conversely, a more satisfying mixture. If there is a need for a medical one, then read everything that relates to your existing disease. Careful selection of information before changing a child's diet will help to avoid unpleasant surprises in the process of changing complementary foods. And, of course, you must follow the rules for transferring a child to another mixture.
Step 4
It is categorically impossible to transfer the child to a new mixture at once. Otherwise, there will be problems with the tummy - the appearance of colic, bloating. The ideal scheme for changing the mixture looks like this: on the first day, 10 grams of the new mixture is given once, on the second day already 20 grams 2 times a day, on the third day 30 grams 3 times a day. And in 5 days you need to enter up to 50 grams at a time. Switching to the new mixture alone takes about 7 days.
