Step 1
Submit your baby's birth application no later than one month after the baby is born. To do this, prepare the passports of both parents, a marriage certificate and a medical birth certificate. In the event that a baby is born in a maternity hospital, a medical certificate of birth is issued upon discharge. If the baby is born outside of a formal medical facility, a statement from the person present at the time of delivery will be required. Submit documents for registration to the registry office at the place of residence or at the place of birth of the child. If the baby was born in any vehicle on the road (train, plane or ship), it can be registered with any civil registry office along the route.

If you are a citizen of another state or a stateless person, the general procedure for registering children is preserved. In addition to presenting identity cards, translation of documents into Russian will be required. Contact a notary, submit the translated and certified documents to the registry office.
