Marriages between people of different faiths at all times have been something forbidden and unnatural. But times and mores are changing, and there are more and more such unions, that is, such a marriage is possible subject to certain rules.
Even in ancient times, many Muslim men took women of the Christian faith into their harem. This was considered prestigious and was not punishable by Muslim laws. However, a Muslim woman did not have the right to marry a non-believer, in addition, this was considered a betrayal and was severely punished, sometimes the death penalty could also be the punishment. A girl who broke Islamic law and gave her hand and heart to a Christian could no longer return home and it was forbidden to communicate with loved ones, she became an outcast in her country and family, she was no longer considered a daughter, a sister.
How to marry a Muslim woman
In the modern world, such importance is no longer attached to racial and religious affiliation, as, for example, in the 18th century, and marriages between different faiths have ceased to shock the public. But if Christianity allows marriage with a partner of another religion and without accepting the religion of a husband or wife, then Islam and now categorically does not accept such a union. This religion strictly observes all the prescriptions and so-called canons established by the centuries-old order, and does not allow any encroachments on its borders, although it respects other religions.
A man of any other religion or does not believe in higher powers at all, who wished to unite his fate with a Muslim woman, should not only ask for the hand of a representative of the older generation of her family, but also study the Koran, accept the faith of his future wife. This cannot happen in one day or a week, since knowledge and immersion in Islam is a difficult way of learning and rethinking life values, as its adherents believe.
And only after a man accepts the Islamic faith, marriage is possible. The marriage should take place only in accordance with Muslim customs, in compliance with all traditions and ceremonies.
How a man's life changes after accepting Islam
Basically, all religions have the same concepts - do not sin, do not steal, do not kill and other similar restrictions. But even simple human moral laws and principles are built on the same concepts of a normal moral character. However, Islam, as a religion, also imposes additional restrictions on men. For example, if the Christian religion accepts moderate consumption of alcohol, then a true Muslim considers libation a great sin. In Islam, any manifestation of disrespect for a woman is sinful, however, as in any other religions. A man is obliged to support his family in prosperity, but he may have not one, but several wives.
